Brody joined DSAL’s Recreation program at REACH this past summer, following in the footsteps of his older sister, who had been a member for two years. Inspired by her experiences, he approaches every activity with curiosity, energy, and a willingness to challenge himself.

When Valentina joined DSAL nearly a year ago, she was a shy, quiet child. Slowly, through dedication and consistent participation in our programs, she began to come out of her shell, and the transformation has been ​​wonderful to see!

​​Four of our DSAL fighters - Armando Carriedo, Alexander Montiel, Fernando Osorio, and Angel Reyes - took on top-level competition at the 2025 Northern California Silver Gloves. For many, it was their first time stepping into the ring, and the experience has already provided invaluable lessons, and set the stage for future wins.

Rebecca consistently steps up to support others, set an example for her peers, and uplift everyone around her. What makes Rebecca truly special is her inspiring combination of positivity, leadership, and selflessness.
