Thank you to everyone who joined us for National Night Out!

Approximately 500 neighbors came together with DSAL, Alameda County Sheriff’s Office personnel, and community partners for an evening filled with food, entertainment, activities, and opportunities to connect and be part of something bigger.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office brought several teams and resources together for residents to learn more about the work they do and connect with personnel from CORE, CSI, K-9, SWAT, and Recruitment, connecting with community members interested in learning about career opportunities with ACSO. Sutter Health also joined the event with an informational booth, giving attendees another opportunity to connect with a local resource. Community partners helped make the evening possible, including Rapid Relief Team, which provided 300 hamburger meals, and Las Montañas Supermarket, which donated chicken plates complete with rice, beans, and tortillas!

There was plenty of fun for families, too, with our dynamic Muévete group performing during two segments of the event and getting the crowd up and dancing! Kids enjoyed bouncy houses and face painting, while our DSAL Boxing program hosted two interactive demonstrations featuring sparring and conditioning that were a huge hit with attendees!

National Night Out creates opportunities for neighbors, families, community organizations, and law enforcement to strengthen relationships and spend time together, building the connections that contribute to a safer, more connected community. These are the values DSAL was built on, and we're grateful to everyone who helped make the evening possible and to everyone who came out to celebrate with us!

Did you attend National Night Out? We'd love to hear from you.

Your feedback helps us understand what matters most to local families and how we can make next years event even more meaningful.

We hope you'll join us again next year as we continue bringing neighbors together, strengthening community connections, and creating opportunities for families to connect, participate, and enjoy their community.

We look forward to seeing you at next years National Night Out!
