DSAL believes that Ashland and Cherryland should have safe spaces that reflect the values and spirit of the community.

Through neighborhood revitalization programs, murals, community center construction, food equity systems and strategic investment in community spaces, DSAL is combatting years of divestment, that has left the incorporated areas plagued by vacant lots, dilapidated parks and liquor stores/smoke shops that outnumber grocery stores.

In each forgotten space, we see an opportunity for community to thrive.
