In just five months at DSAL Boxing Academy, thirteen-year-old Erwin Olmeda found something he didn't know he was looking for: a place where he belongs. What started as a return to boxing became something much more significant - a pathway to better mental health, stronger relationships, and a complete shift in how he channels his energy.

​When Carlos first joined the Muevete program three years ago, he was quiet, reserved, and unsure of his place in the room. He spoke very little, kept to himself, and didn’t yet have friendships within the class. Today, a very different story is unfolding. Carlos now greets others with confidence, laughs freely, and is embraced as a valued member of the group - someone everyone is happy to see walk through the door.
