Coach Oliver

Our new Boxing Coach, Oliver, brings a passion for boxing and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing the sport with others.

Before joining the coaching staff, Oliver was part of DSAL’s Boxing team, where he served as team captain and earned the respect of his teammates through his dependability, leadership, and strong work ethic. His positive attitude and firsthand experience with the program made him a natural addition to our coaching staff.

Since stepping into his coaching role, Oliver has already made a positive impression, bringing that same enthusiasm to helping participants learn, build skills, and grow through the sport.

For Oliver, one of the things that makes boxing so rewarding is that there's always something new to learn. Through his own training and competition experience, he's discovered that the benefits extend well beyond developing skills in the ring. Boxing has introduced him to new people, helped him build great friendships, and given him an appreciation for the process of learning and improving over time.

“As a coach at DSAL, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and help other people enjoy boxing as much as I have.”

Now, Oliver is looking forward to helping DSAL participants discover what makes the sport so meaningful to him. He sees coaching as an opportunity to encourage each person's progress and create a positive environment where boxers can continue developing their skills.

“To me, coaching is not only about teaching technique, but also about connecting with people, learning together, and helping each person improve.”

Oliver's approach reflects the many benefits young people can gain through free sports and fitness programs. Along with developing physical skills and becoming more capable in the ring, participants have opportunities to build friendships, grow in confidence, and learn through new experiences, making them more capable outside of the ring as well.

We're excited to welcome Oliver to DSAL Boxing Academy and look forward to seeing him share his experience and enthusiasm for the sport with our boxers!
