Muevete Champion Ana Cardenas

Instructor Angie describes Rosa as a strong woman who keeps moving forward, no matter what life puts in her path. More than four years into Muévete, and that resilience supports her in showing up for every single class.

Rosa is the kind of participant who makes a program stronger just by being part of it. She shows up ready to move, stays to help with monthly cleanings, and jumps in for any activity the class needs, showing her support for the program that supports her back.

"The Muévete program has helped my health. Socializing with my community during class is one of my favorite aspects, and it keeps me motivated. As a result, my health has been better, I have lost weight, and I even have less bone pain."

For many adults, chronic pain can quietly limit daily life, reducing mobility, energy, and independence. But not for Rosa. Four years of consistent movement have produced real, physical relief, and an improvement in her quality of life.

Beyond her own health, Rosa sees what Muévete creates in the people around her, and she understands its value to the broader community.

"The program brings us together as a community, and we organize gatherings which makes all of us healthier. I can see that this class motivates positive behavior in participants, which builds a safer environment for everyone."

When people are active, connected, and motivated, the environment around them becomes safer and healthier for everyone, week after week, year after year.
