FLAG FOOTBALL
Flag football registration is open now for the summer flag football program!
DSAL Flag Football empowers youth to lead healthy lifestyles by engaging in physical activity and nurturing the growth of student athletes on and off the playing field. The program provides free non-contact activities for youth of all genders ages 7-14, as well as additional programs to teach life lessons that build stronger individuals and communities.
DSAL's principal flag football objective is to offer youth in the community a safe, fun introduction and exposure to the sport of football and its fundamentals, along with an effort to provide another outlet for physical fitness, and the development of social and life skills.
Adults are invited to sign-up to participate as volunteer coaches and referees and to help with field setup and breakdown, equipment allocation, and other vital support.
Sessions are held Saturdays from 9am - 1pm (check-in begins at 8:30am)
Games take place at Bohannan Middle School.

HEALTH & FITNESS AND PUBLIC SAFETY
Flag football is the fastest growing team sport in the U.S., offering youth a safe introduction to non-contact football and a fun outlet for physical fitness, sportsmanship, and the development of social and life skills through team sports.
With team cooperation and social skill building at the center of Flag Football, DSAL is building lifelong wellness habits and community-based support systems for the unincorporated areas that have a dramatic lack of free exercise options.
We are grateful for the support of The San Leandro Crusaders competitive youth athletic program, for partnering with us this year to support players and our community. Find out more about what they have to offer. Great teamwork!
