ON THE GREEN - GOLF & PLAY SUMMER CAMP

Our Free DSAL Golf Camp reaches capacity every year.

We are working to expand our summer camp programs so we can include more participants and we need YOUR HELP.

Giving kids an opportunity to get out of the house, exercise, and socialize is even more important now, after the pandemic, than ever before. And yet, summer camps are expensive and often not accessible for families with limited incomes, which is why so many kids end up waitlisted for DSAL’s Free Summer Camp.

Please take a few minutes to complete a simple survey to let us know if you are having trouble accessing free or low-cost summer camp for your kids.

By completing this survey, you will help us demonstrate the need so we can pursue ways to expand DSAL’s offerings.

Our Golf Camp programming for kids 10-16 was presented by DSAL and Corica Park.

Campers had the opportunity to work on their golf skills and get coached by both PGA certified and collegiate level golf instructors.

Transportation was provided to and from the golf course, and breakfast and lunch were provided.

This program has a low coach-to-camper ratio, providing a focus on youth development.
Daily fitness activities include Foot-golf, Disc-golf, and other games.

HEALTH & FITNESS AND PUBLIC SAFETY

Golf & Play Summer Camp offers youth a safe place to interact with peers, and a fun outlet for physical fitness, sportsmanship, cooperation, and the development of social and life skills through team sports and activities.

With team cooperation and social skill building at the center of our programs, DSAL is building lifelong wellness habits and community-based support systems for the unincorporated areas that have a dramatic lack of free health and fitness options.
